March 2022

 Wine news of March 2022

The weather will be turning warm and the flowers will be starting to peek out of the ground after their winter sleep, and we too will be looking to head outdoors to enjoy the fresh air.

It is in that spirit that I am excited to announce the latest in Rosé from Castelbarry- Montpeyroux. The Montpeyroux vineyards of which the Castelbarry Coop is one, are the northernmost of the Languedoc appellations. The wines from this region are known for their taste, quality, and incredible freshness; and I Love French Rose is no exception. The difference? I Love French Rose is presented in an easy, care-free, and perfect for picnics package- the can. The can is the perfect vessel for I Love French Rose, as it’s easy to transport and convenient. With its refreshing taste that will have you feeling relaxed in no time at all!

I Love French Rosé
is made from the first press and in a market where sustainability is increasingly important, the 100% recyclable can holds wine that iscertified by Terra Vitis for sustainable farming. In addition, I Love French Rosé is AOP Languedoc classified which means when it comes to taste, it’s a cut above its competitors.

Look for the stylish pink can the next time you are looking for the highest quality in French Rosé in an easy and portable package!

What other news is happening in the world of wine?

Later this month, I will be attending the Grands Jours Bourgogne from March 21-25 and I’m so excited about it. This professionals-only event is presented by the BIVB and held every other March, and this year is the year! The purpose of this regional presentation is to enable wine industry professionals to meet wine-makersin the vineyards themselves.

As part of this event, I will be traveling throughout the region of Bourgogne to attend wine tasting held in prestigious wine growing villages. I am so excited to attend and to bring all the latest Bourgogne wine news back to my clients- so stay tuned.

Champagne.

This iconic celebratory beverage is experiencing a shortage and Americans in particular are having to pay more to include champagne in their celebrations due to its rising cost in the United States. Why is this? Rise in demand from a return to in-person gatherings combined with a lower yield in France due to bad weather in 2021 are two of the components that are coming together to create this price increase. In my latest article, I dive deeper into the higher prices and explain what this means for you in 2022.
