The passion for wine

Before creating my company, I worked as an Export Director in the South of France.
This rich experience allowed me to make giant leaps. I have developed a definite taste for travel and for passing on my passion for wine across the Atlantic. And I met Jeff … my loyal friend from Seattle. It was the start of a long professional and friendly adventure.
I was also lucky to find on my way one of the best winegrowers in Minervois, Michel Escande de Borie de Maurel. He introduced me to other winegrowers, had me trained as a taster and the die was cast!
But the first to instill this passion in me were my parents. My father, a lover of good wines, and my independent mother who urged me to walk through the door of the house to explore other landscapes.
Before realizing myself in the wine business, I worked in Germany, then in Hyères in Provence for an American company (Coleman Group) and then I was a mother. I took a break.

Fluent in German, Italian, French, English, and Spanish, I’m passionate about creating cross-cultural experiences and exchanges through bringing French wine to all corners of the globe. As a trusted partner of foreign wine importers focusing on Canada and the United States, my work has taken me from Freiburg to Seattle, Tokyo to New York, Saint Petersburg to Hong Kong, Grasse to British Columbia, and more.

Before launching Murielle Claudel Wines in 2011, I served as the France Export Director in the wine-growing region of Languedoc Roussillon; I also worked in luxury goods, including perfume, windsurfing, and sailing. A “flâneuse” at heart, I enjoy traveling through the beautiful world of wine, live theatre, trying avant-garde cuisine, and sharing stories over un verre de vin (ou deux)

Curiosity, flexibility, tradition, innovation and sustainability: these are the quad principals that are part of the root of my company
